A Academia da Televisão revelou os vencedores aos Primetime Emmys de 2022 na madrugada de terça-feira, dia 13 de setembro, celebrando a sua 74ª Edição no Microsoft Theater em Los Angeles. A cerimónia foi apresentada por Kenan Thompson.

A série da HBO The White Lotus ganhou o maior número de prémios com uma contagem de 5 no total. Perto ficou Ted Lasso da Apple TV+ que arrecadou 4 troféus. Succession era a série com mais nomeações (25) e acabou por ganhar 3 Emmys, incluindo Melhor Série Dramática.

Destaque especial para Sheryl Lee Ralph que ganhou o seu primeiro Emmy – Melhor atriz Secundária, em Abbott Elementary – consagrando-se a segunda mulher negra a ganhar o prémio. Lee Jung-Jae tornou-se a primeira pessoa de uma série de língua estrangeira a ganhar o Emmy de Melhor Ator Principal numa Série Dramática, com Squid Game.
