A 95ª edição dos Oscars, apresentada pelo comediante, Jimmy Kimmel, sucedeu na noite de domingo, dia 12, no Dolby Theater, em Los Angeles, com transmissão televisiva em Portugal, na RTP1. O grande vencedor da noite foi Everything Everywhere All At Once, dos realizadores Daniel Kwan e Daniel Scheinert, que recebeu 7 Oscars, incluindo Melhor Filme e Melhor Realização.
Este foi o ano dos comebacks para os Oscars; Michelle Yeoh, atriz principal de Everything Everywhere All At Once, destacou-se como a primeira atriz asiática a receber o Oscar de Melhor Actriz Principal. A sua vitória foi acompanhada por Ke Huy Quan, que ganhou Melhor Actor Secundário, e Jamie Lee Curtis, como Melhor Actriz Secundária, marcando esta longa-metragem como a triunfante nas categorias principais. Brendan Fraser assinalou o seu regresso estrondoso no cinema, com o Oscar de Melhor Actor Principal pelo filme The Whale. No geral, o principal vencedor foi a produtora e distribuidora A24, que acabou a noite com 9 Oscars.
