Os Vencedores dos Emmys 2024

Após serem adiados de Setembro, 2023, para Janeiro de 2024, devido às greves dos atores e argumentistas que impedia os nomeados de marcarem presença nestas cerimónias, os maiores prémios de televisão, os Emmys, foram finalmente entregues na noite de 15 de Janeiro, com um estrondo de simpatia e gargalhadas numa homenagem ao programa Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood (1968-2001), aos clássicos da televisão The Sopranos (1999-2007), The Facts of Life (1979-1988), The Twilight Zone (1959-1964), entre outros, e aos mestres deste meio de entretenimento como Carol Burnett. Nesta noite, o prémio Governors foi atribuído à organização, GLAAD, pela sua contribuição no meio da televisão, combatendo pela diversidade e inclusão da comunidade LGBTQ+. A transmissão da gala, apresentada pelo ator e comediante Anthony Anderson, sucedeu nacionalmente através da SIC CARAS, que acompanhou também a passadeira vermelha antes do espectáculo.

Esta edição dos Emmys foi principalmente dominada pela celebrada série Succession, que conquistou o prémio de Melhor Drama, Actor Principal, Actriz Principal e Actor Secundário, pela primeira temporada de The Bear, que venceu as principais estatuetas nas categorias nomeadas, e pela minisérie Beef, que também triunfou nas suas respectivas nomeações. Os destaques concluem com a vitória de Elton John na categoria de Melhor Especial de Variedades (Ao Vivo), finalmente atingindo o inédito EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) e o infortúnio recorde de Better Call Saul, sendo a série com o maior número de nomeações na história dos Emmys, 53, sem uma única vitória.
