As nomeações aos Emmys de 2023 foram reveladas no dia 12 de Julho, online, numa webstream ao vivo, apresentada pela actriz Yvette Nicole Brown e pelo presidente da Academia da Televisão, Frank Scherma. Com a cerimónia marcada para 18 de Setembro, esta 75ª edição procura reconhecer obras transmitidas na televisão ou em serviços de streaming, distribuídas entre 1 de Junho de 2022 e 31 de Maio de 2023. Um apresentador permanece por ser anunciado, contudo devido à greve da SAG (Screen Actors Guild) e da WGA (Writers Guild of America) existe uma possibilidade desta edição ser emitida sem um anfitrião ou actores presentes, sem argumento televisivo, ou simplesmente de ser adiada até o fim da greve.
Apesar de uma tentativa, por parte da Academia da Televisão, em espalhar o amor por diversas obras únicas, os principais nomeados permanecem idênticos a edições passadas. Destacam-se obras como Succession (2018-2023), com 27 nomeações, incluindo Melhor Drama, Melhor Actriz Principal e um recorde de 3 nomeados para Melhor Actor Principal, ocupando também a maioria da categoria de Melhor Actor Secundário com 4 nomeados. The Last of Us (2023-) conseguiu 24 nomeações, enquanto The White Lotus (2021-2024) obteve 23 nomeações.
